DENDROLOGY TRAINING
The ability to identify tree species is a fundamental thing that must be owned by tree species identification surveyors in forest inventory activities. This year the organization conducted tree species recognition training, presenters from the West Papua National Research and Innovation Agency with 29 participants consisting of the Forest Planning Department and the Forest Development Department.
FOREST ROAD CONSTRUCTION TRAINING
Forest road construction is the implementation of planning activities where the implementation and maintenance of roads must pay attention to technical, ecological and economic aspects in an integrated manner. The smoothness and suitability of forest road construction activities are supported by the ability and skills of the human resources who work. Therefore, the organization brought in experts in the field to provide training in material and also practice in the field. The training was attended by the Forest Planning Department and the forest road construction team.
RESPONSIBLE FOREST MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION TRAINING BASED ON FSC SCHEME
In order to realize responsible forest management, the organization is committed to adopting and implementing FSC standards. This commitment is stated in the company's Vision and Mission. Therefore, the organization provides training to employees on responsible forest management certification based on the FSC scheme. This is expected to be a learning platform related to new things in the FSC scheme and can increase the capacity of human resources to follow the process for implementing the FSC scheme.
TECHNICAL GUIDELINE FOR INTENSIVE SILVICULTURE OF MERBAU SPECIES
PT Wijaya Sentosa has carried out planting activities using the Intensive Silviculture (SILIN) method, especially for merbau species. to support the success and increase knowledge related to intensive silviculture, PT Wijaya Sentosa participated in the technical guidelines related to SILIN Merbau organized by the West Papua production forest supervisory agency.
